Week 31, 2017

Snake Cheney // Spirit Week // Vayda // Portfolio Day

Hey Folks, A few shows were cancelled this week so Monday was the only show to report back for ya. Things kicked off pretty late due to a scheduling complication so the show opened with Nashville's Snake Cheney and a quick set of clean-tone indie rockers, followed by Spirit Week (who hail from the legendary Bowling Green), who hit the stage to provide some jangly guitars and cool warbled grooves. Local's Vayda were up next with a set of lights-out electro jams, and Portfolio Day ended the show with a digi-rock hybrid of fun originals.

After the show I somehow managed to make it for the tail end of Snakes' set over at Asian Taste in Hampden. It was only for a couple tunes, but I was really glad I got to catch them - their take on thematic western music is phenomenal and even in a box like Asian Taste they still sounded fantastic. Seriously, these dudes rock and I highly recommend checking them out!

Alright that's it. Like I mentioned before this was a light week for shows. Looking ahead things are picking up a bit though so I'll definitely be back next week for more rock and/ or roll for ya. Until then!
