Hey folks! Another week at Joe's, another week of shows. Everything from old school punk and one-man bands, to singer songwriters and drawn out jam bands made it's way to the pizza basement this week, and I'm back once again to cover the action. So without further delay here's what went down.
6/28/17 - National Razor FDIC // Phantom Killers // Vampire Beat
Wednesday was the reunion show for Baltimore's own National Razor FDIC, who smashed and thrashed through a triumphantly loud set of late 90's fan favorites to a packed house. They were joined by solo performer Vampire Beat and punk staples The Phantom Killers for a night of loud and fast that kept the heads banging from the pro-pizza crowd.

At some point in the night Miss Su came down and offered up some pork and rice to the bands complete with hot sauce and newspaper.

6/29/17 - Church Girls // Santa Librada // Joseph & The Beasts
Thursday was a great show with 3 excellent bands. First was Joseph & The Beasts who played their strongest set at Joe's so far, followed by Church Girls from Philly who performed some awesome indie/ country/ post punk, and Santa Librada closed it out with their high-energy punk anthems.

6/30/17 - Cool American // Turtlenecked // Nina Gala // Weird Moon
Friday brought Cool American and Turtlenecked from Portland down to the basement to rock out alongside locals Weird Moon and the always excellent Nina Gala. I forgot to take a pic of Weird Moon (Sorry!), but I did find some archival photos of him performing. I grabbed tapes from the touring bands after the show, and I def recommend checking them out if you get the chance.

Again, sorry I forgot to take pics!!!

7/1/17 - Faux Furs // YeahTones // Them Animals // Bloomer
Saturday the show opened up with a long set by Bloomer who played lots of songs with extended jam sections. NY's The YeahTones jumped around with some blues-rock, making sure not to hit their heads on our low pizza ceilings. The Faux Furs from Chicago played some songs which were pretty good, and Them Animals rocked us to the finish line with some tunes off their upcoming EP release.

Alright that's it. Next week's gonna be light on shows, but I finished editing my first podcast interview so if I can get a theme song put together I may be posting that in the next couple weeks. Until then!
