6/16/17 - Save The Empire // Clockbreaker // Club Scout

Friday we had some old school 90's pop punk straight from the Tony Hawk soundtrack. Save The Empire and Club Scout both rocked out the hook laden speed jams, and Clockbreaker provided some killer drumming insanity.

6/18/17 - $100 Girlfriend // GT // The Joe Keery Band // Hexgirlfriends

$100 Girlfriend opened it up with some killer electro gloom-pop, Birmingham's GT layed down their psychedelic doom-fuzz al a Swans, and Hexgirlfriends played some excellent duel-fronted power jams complete with a Chumbawumba/ Lauper mashup. The Joe Keery Band from Chicago is on the road without Joe, even though they market themselves around Mr. Keery's success. They're also douchebags to the soundguy from the stage, literally speaking gibberish while asking for requests. They perform a triple threat of masturbatory guitar techniques and think they're just so fucking cool. Rumor has it that the muppet Animal of Electric Mayhem fame used to be in the band, but he left because he had better things to do and was replaced by a less hairy, but more angry puppet-creature. Needless to say this is very much a post Animal band, which is a shame. Not fans of Netflix original music.
