It's late Monday night, I'm listening to an episode of Kill Tony and I'm pretty wiped from recording all day, so this intro's gonna be brief. It was a pretty badass week of music though - from the angriest of hardcore to the happiest of pop tunes there's was a bit of something for everyone. Here's a quick rundown of what went down.
5/15/17 - Soul Glo // Bested // Joe Biden
I really like Monday shows. It's like everyone's collectively saying we're not ready for our weekend to be over and come out to throw down regardless, and this was definitely the show to come out for. Things opened with new band Bested and their melodic thrash punk before handing it over to Philly's Soul Glo who delivered an all out onslaught of socially conscious hardcore to the rabid pizza dwellers. The night wrapped with young punks Joe Biden and their killer set of raw energy and chunky grooves.

5/17/17 - Room 101 // Smoking Gun // Bodies
Wednesday was another punked out night Downsquares as we hosted Room 101 who were on tour from Cincinnati. Joining the studded-leather lineup was locals Smoking Gun and solo-noisest Bodies whose rapid fire sets provided excellent support. Another Wednesday on the books.

5/18/17 - Kittens Slay Dragons // Professor Shyguy
Thursday was a night of chip-tuned good times as dance-rocker Professor Shyguy and New Jersey synth-duo Kittens Slay Dragons joined us in the pizza basement to trade off sets of 8-bit power rockers and soulful ballads about feline best friends. Besides, when their's a guitar made out of an original Nintendo Entertainment System at the show you know it's going to be an awesome night!

5/21/17 - Three Man Cannon // Queen Jesus // Mustang Riddle // Bathing Suit
Sunday's show was a quick one that opened with MICA rockers Mustang Riddle and Bathing Suit, and closed out with Philly bands Queen Jesus and Three Man Cannon. Indie, funky, post-rocky good tunes all around.
