Week 37, 2016

Hey guys! Something something, awesome week, something something. Check it out!

9/15/16 - SunGhosts // Modern Nomad // The Meer // Dwellingville // Pinkwench

A rare 5 band lineup made for a busy show filled with some killer tunes. Shoutout to The Meer for an awesome return set Downsquares, and to Miami’s SunGhosts who rocked out a great set of Burger-esq modern garage.

9/16/16 - Alex Cameron // Captain Morris

Friday featured a synth-heavy vibe from two very interesting acts. Captain Morris opened with a set of interactive multi-media entertainment that seemed to really bring the crowd closer together, juxtaposed with songs about alienation. Australia’s Alex Cameron then took the stage to perform songs from his new album Jumping The Shark; crooning synth pop reminiscent of Nick Cave and perhaps a bit of The Cure. A fun night with some of the more unique music I’ve heard in a while.

9/17/16 - Squaring The Circle // Outcalls // Museyroom

I was exhausted on Saturday. This weekend was kind of insane but the show must go on. Outcalls opened with a set of jazz and hip-hop inspired music, followed by Museyroom from New York with some Beatles-esq rockers, and closed it out with funk fusion by Squaring The Circle.

9/18/16

Sunday I headed to Severna Park to perform at the 8th annual Owenfest, one of the best and most exclusive festivals of the Summer! As the sun began to retire for the evening, the great Steve Owen took the stage for a rare and highly anticipated set of cover songs that sent the crowd home with both smiles and stomaches full of bar-b-q. One of my favorite shows to play every year!

Alright friends, that’s it for now. As always and forever I’ll be back next week with more music and hopefully some more energy, see ya!
